This selection of short films is chosen by film critic Yazan Ashqar based on themes related to Hrair Sarkissian’s exhibition at Darat al Funun. Ranging from the 1930s to the 2010s, from Thailand to Budapest to Brazil, the films deal with themes of loss and nostalgia, fragmented visualizations of urban landscapes, and the memories of a city.
