exhibition
Should art educate, inform, organise, influence, incite to action, or should it simply be an object of pleasure?

25 April – 1 September 2012

The exhibition showcases works from The Khalid Shoman Collection that address war, violence, occupation, and politics. Through different media the works attempt to deal with these issues at hand in different ways, and through different mechanisms. They are in a sense notes from the past about a recurring present, or maybe questions from the present about history. Some works congeal a political moment in history that has caused our present in one way or the other, while others address more universal questions that persist through time We invite you to ask your personal questions about art and it's relationship to politics through the exhibition.
