Darat al Funun's cultural consultant Dr. Faisal Darraj will be in conversation with Dr. Khalil Al Shaikh about the destinies of Arab modernity (a study made by Dr. Darraj for the book Arab Art Histories, The Khalid Shoman Collection). Having its foundations in the Age of Enlightenment, modernity was demolished by the various forms of Arab authority, and ended up in a society opposing modernity.
