Exhibition by Ibi Ibrahim

28 January 2017 – 21 February

During his residency period at The Lab, Ibi Ibrahim tackles matters related to the ongoing war in his homeland Yemen. Through interactive photo-installations, videos, text, and paintings, the artist aims to express the pain caused by this war within the Yemeni community living in Jordan and  with  stranded and displaced Yemenis across the world.

As part of the exhibition, the artist presents a video piece that recounts the struggle of displaced and stranded Yemenis. The video piece is a collaborative work between Ibi Ibrahim and Hosam Omran.

Ibi Ibrahim (b. 1987) is multidisciplinary artist, filmmaker and musician from Yemen. His work is often engaged with the social and political issues of his homeland Yemen.
