"As an artist from Palestine I find it very difficult to avoid the inputs of the intense politics and the social difficulties resulting of the occupation. I do believe that art and cultural production is an integral part of everyday realities. [...] I believe that my practice was shaped in way, which is responding or intervening with the everyday realities and changes, as well as trying to understand and revise the history of the area. The new experience of living and practicing in Europe opened up my topics and interests and introduced me to a new set of realities that I was not aware of, but still my social and political background in Palestine is always the main driver for my practice."
