Kirsten Scheid is Associate Professor of Anthropology at the American University of Beirut and specializes in modern and contemporary art in Lebanon, Palestine, and the Arab world. She wrote the essay 'Between the Promise of Life and Its Fragility: The Arab Body in The Khalid Shoman Collection' for Arab Art Histories: The Khalid Shoman Collection (2013).
