Nada Shabout

Lives and works in the United States.

Dr. Nada Shabout is an art historian specialising in modern Iraqi art. She has been an Assistant Professor of Art History at the University of North Texas since 2002, teaching about Arab visual culture and Islamic art. She is the author of several articles and publications that examine the legal and ethical responsibilities of the US in Iraq following its invasion in 2003. Her publication, Modern Arab Art: Formation of Arab Aesthetics (2007), is considered a valuable study of Arab art from the 1940s to the present.
