Rijin Sahakian initiated Sada, a non-profit project conducting arts education, advocacy, and production programs for Baghdad-based artists (2011-2015). She has contributed writing to various artist projects and publications including e-flux journal, Ibraaz, and Jadaliyya, and conducted workshops and presentations at a variety of arts and education institutions internationally including Darat al Funun. She was a resident researcher at Darat al Funun in 2012, and contributed an essay to the Adel Abidin catalogue.
