Twenty-five years after the passing of Khalid Shoman, patron of Darat al Funun, Suha Shoman revisits Of Time and Light, an immersive installation of video works first presented at Darat al Funun in 2004. The works unfold as a journey through cycles of existence, from the inception of life to departure, its durations embodying the passage of time itself.

I Am Everywhere (2006), on view in Al Ghorfa, extends these temporal questions into an ancient cistern in Beidha.

Constellations from the Khalid Shoman Collection

Selected works from the Khalid Shoman Collection are on view in Dar Khalid, The Blue House, the Headquarters and Beit al Beiruti. Since the 1980s, the collection has grown to include more than 2,000 works, shaped through encounters with artists and through the conversations, exhibitions, and relationships that have unfolded around them.
