Artist-in-residence under the Pro Helvetia exchange program Gilles Fontolliet had a vision, a vague idea he called the Palestinian Space Agency. The idea, which quickly expanded, of a newly existing space organization for Palestine, touched many people emotionally as well as politically therefore people got involved: they became active workers, dreamers and believers in the Space Agency. After 3 Years this idea slowly materialized. Now we have a Shuttle AMMAN1, a website and the book “Moments without Gravity” published by The Khalid Shoman Foundation - Darat al Funun. The publication is a chronological narrative of the Palestinian Space Agency from the initial concept to the launch of the Shuttle.
