As part of the cultural program accompanying our exhibition “Alive in the Dead Sea (1995-2015)”, Dr. Faisal Darraj will be discussing the long history of the Lebanese novel, which was sculpted by iconic writers such as Jubran Khalil Gibran, Ameen Rihani and Tawfiq Yusuf Awwad. It was further developed by the civil war generation, including Elias Khoury, Rabee’ Jaber and Hoda Barakat, who addressed the violence of war. The talk will be in Arabic.
