“Next to Here” is an exhibition for young documentary photographers from North Africa and the Middle East. The exhibition includes works by photographers from Morocco, Algeria, Tunisia, Egypt, Sudan, Jordan, Palestine, Lebanon, Iraq, and the United Arab Emirates. These photographic works explore pictorial landscapes of cities and nature, and paint portraits of human beings. They all share a common feature, which is the interest in the nature and realism of the world around us and its inhabitants. This exhibition is being held in several cities around the Arab world throughout 2014.

We are especially pleased to invite you to the opening of the exhibition on October 21, 2014 at 6pm. The opening will be followed by a talk with the german curator Constanze Wicke at 6.30pm.
