On the History of Sonic Arts and Music

4 – 18 October 2023| Wednesdays | 6:30 PM

We kick-start our fall and winter season of sonic arts and music with a screening program featuring films that explore and delve into the use of sound in storytelling, as well as the creation of immersive audiovisual experiences. Our lineup includes early work of experimental short animated films spanning from the 1930s to the 1970s, a captivating documentary chronicling the history of electronic music through the perspectives of pioneering female sound artists, and a restored version of a documentary that revisits the story of a regional music movement.
