The talk will explore the above quote by Agusto Boal in relation to a range of different views of artists and thinkers on this subject and will open out into a discussion on the role of art in society today in light of political transformation in the region and the art market. It will also open a discussion on role of the art education institution in our times and what should be its approaches to educating future artists and their relation to their community and society.
