This monodrama is based on the real-life events of actor and playwright Hossam Abu Aisha’s imprisonment in the early 1980s, and the love letters exchanged between him and his wife during that period. The play offers a lens into the experiences of Palestinian prisoners as they strive to survive and resist inside the prisons of the Israeli occupation.

Hossam Abu Aisha is an actor and playwright who was born in 1959. He started his practice in theater in 1977. Abu Aisha was appointed as the head of the Palestinian Theatre Artists Association between 1991-1993. He wrote and performed many theater performances and participated in regional and international festivals, and received several awards for his theatrical practice and work. Abu Aisha has been coaching drama and psychodrama in Palestine and the Arab world for 10 years.
