This performance by Samah Hijawi is an exploration of landscape and memory. Borrowing from popular oral narratives, music and visual representation from the last 70 years, the performance plays on nostalgia and the fragility of memory, questioning how utopic representations of “the homeland” function in our contemporary moment.
