Continuing in a series of Palestinian films, ‘When I Saw You’ (2013; Annemarie Jacir) takes place in 1967 Jordan as tens of thousands of refugees pour across the border from Palestine. The award winning film focuses on the hardships faced by 11 year old Tarek as he adjusts to life at the camp with his mother, having been separated from his father during the chaos. ‘When I Saw You’ is the winner of Best Asian Film at the Berlin International Film Festival, Best Arab Film in Abu Dhabi and Palestine's 2013 Oscar Entry.
