Between NFTs and the metaverse, 2021 was filled with new buzzwords that challenged traditional art markets and academic jargon. In this talk, Wizara’s founding members will discuss blockchain technology, its implications and uses within the art world today, and share futurist visions of Web 3.0, activating a space between technology, arts, and economic thinking where new art realities could be possible.

Wizara is the first blockchain-based platform built by artists for artists. A new ecosystem that supports African, Arab, and Asian artists to collectively enter into dialogue and create independent, individual, or collaborative artistic projects. Their inaugural exhibition, Arqaam, was launched in 2021.
