Women, mythology, and water
Monday 23 December 2019
The Lab I 6:30 PM

Join us for a session on women, mythology, and water. Group readings will be followed by embodied exercises, initiating a crossing from the waking state to the dream state, in addition to personal artistic responses to the themes discussed using ink, clay, watercolour and henna.

How have goddesses been portrayed in relation to rivers and other bodies of water?  What role did they play in the creation of the ancient world? We will be exploring these questions as well as modern-day metaphors of polluted water, in conversation with the exhibition “Liquid Entities” currently showing at The Lab.
