HIWAR | Conversations in Amman follows on our 25th anniversary exhibition, residencies, and talks program curated by Adriano Pedrosa from September 2013 to 30 April 2014. It brought fourteen artists from the Arab world, Africa, Asia, and Latin America to Amman, in order to promote exchanges between artists from the margins, not solely by juxtaposing their works in an exhibition or publication format, but also by giving them the possibility to learn from each other’s practices and experiences.

This bi-lingual English-Arabic book follows the conversational format of the anniversary program, and includes artist interviews and conversations, as well as a fully illustrated overview of the exhibition.
