Tokata Iron Eyes is a member of the Standing Rock Sioux tribe and has been involved with the movement to stop the Dakota Access Pipeline since its inception. For four days, a small group of artists and activists travelled together with Tokata in South Dakota, recording video interviews and landscape drone shots of the youth activists discussing the landscapes, their histories, and the personal and political issues that arose from being in these sacred sites. Andrea Bowers lives and works in Los Angeles, CA. Bowers received her MFA from the California Institute of the Arts in 1992. Over the last twenty-three years, she has built an international reputation for her drawings, videos, and installations, which deal with social issues ranging from women's' and workers' rights to climate change and immigration.
