Poetry reading by Dalia Taha

Saturday 8 November 2025 | 6:30 PM | Beit al Beiruti

“Thin volumes of poetry sit on the shelves, each page holding more emptiness than verse. It is as if a second poem is pressing against it, trying to take its place. There are no heroes, no plot, no sentence that speaks plainly, yet there are those who seek them out. There are those who are always searching for them. Their hearts brighten when they find a wondrous poem, like fingers suddenly catching a wall or the edge of a cabinet while walking in absolute darkness, and in that moment knowing exactly where they are in the world.”

Palestinian poet Dalia Taha joins us for an evening of poetry, offering readings from her latest collection Enter World, published by Al-Mutawassit. The book unfolds as a series of titled letters, blending the beauty of literary expression with the realities, stories, and everyday moments of Palestinian life.

A conversation with the poet will follow the reading, and her books will be available for purchase.
