Continuing a series of screenings selected by film critic Yazan Ashqar, Alamar (2009; dir. Pedro González-Rubio) documents the journey of a young man with Mayan origins and his half Italian son into the coral reefs of Mexico, passing knowledge on the ways of the sea from one generation to the next before their inevitable parting.
