Hassan Khan is an artist, musician and writer. Often incorporating his own experiences, observations, and memories of Cairo, Hassan Khan creates conceptual works that attempt to construct a coherent narrative out of the city’s disparate citizens and phenomena. He was awarded the 2017 Silver Lion at the Venice Biennial for the most promising young artist. He wrote the essay 'The case against continuity, or is it possible to be enchanted?' for Arab Art Histories: The Khalid Shoman Collection (2013).
