Yara Sharif and Nasser Golzari are architects and academics, and the co-founders of the Palestine Regeneration Team and, more recently, Architects for Gaza. Their collaborative practice rethinks architecture within contested and fragmented landscapes, drawing on everyday cultural practices and community-led knowledge. Through speculative research and on-the-ground projects, they challenge colonial power structures in the built environment and advocate for resilient, community-driven design. Their work has been recognized with the RIBA President’s Awards for Research and the Holcim Award for Sustainable Construction. Centered on spatial justice and collective memory, their current efforts support the self-help reconstruction of Gaza and the right to rebuild City, Home, and Neighborhood.
