A Stone’s Throw
Film screening and discussion with director Razan Al Salah

Tuesday 17 December 2024 | 6:30 PM | The Lab

A Stone's Throw is a documentary that traces the life of a Palestinian refugee who lived in Beirut before moving to work in an offshore oil field, where he spent most of his years. The film weaves together multiple places and histories, drawing parallels between the protagonist's journey and the episodes of Palestinian resistance led by oil workers in Haifa in 1936.

Employing distinctive storytelling techniques, the film explores methods of narrating histories that lack conventional forms of documentation or records. The screening will be followed by a discussion with the director, Razan Al Salah.

The documentary is in Arabic with English subtitles.
