Darat al Funun’s cultural consultant Dr. Faisal Darraj will be in conversation with artist Abdul Hay Musallam, in honor of the artist's receipt of the 2014 Mahmoud Darwish Award. Born in Palestine in 1933, Abdul Hay Mosallam is an artist well-known for his unique artistic style and particular technique using sawdust and glue. For more than 40 years, he has produced extensive documentation of the Palestinian struggle and liberation movements in the form of painted reliefs. The talk will be in Arabic.
