Winner of the Caligari Film Prize. Tamer El Said's first feature-length film. Set in downtown Cairo in 2009. Khalid is struggling to make a film that captures the soul of his city while facing loss in his own life. With the help of his friends, who send him footage from their lives in Beirut, Baghdad and Berlin, he finds the strength to keep going through the difficulty and beauty of living In the Last Days of the City.

Tamer El Said is an Egyptian filmmaker and producer based between Cairo and Berlin. His first feature-length film, In the Last Days of the City, was premiered in the Berlinale 2016 where it received the Caligari Film Prize. The film has been invited to over 160 festivals worldwide receiving more than 15 of international awards. El Said was also mentoring workshops in many international film and art spaces including Institute of Contemporary Art (ICA) in London, School of the Art Institute in Chicago (SAIC) and Silent Green in Berlin.
