On Narrative Architectures, Post-Colonial Imaginaries, and Anti-Capitalist Realism
Online conversation with Nathalie Frankowski & Cruz Garcia (WAI Architecture Think Tank)

Tuesday 6 January 2026 | 6:30 PM | Zoom

This conversation with WAI Architecture Think Tank, Nathalie Frankowski and Cruz Garcíal, unfolds as a guided introduction to the formation of their practice and the questions that shape its work. Taking place in conjunction with In That Same Hour, currently on view at Darat al Funun, the discussion is anchored by their work Monuments to the Victims of Capitalism, presented as part of the exhibition.

Through the conversation, Nathalie and Cruz reflect on the political, historical, and material imperatives that inform their approach to architecture and urbanism, articulating a practice grounded in research, narrative, and critical speculation. The discussion also traces the development of their ongoing work around Narrative Architectures, of which the work on display forms a part.

The conversation will take place online and will be held in English.
