In conjunction with the exhibition Alive in the Dead Sea (1995-2015), we present two films directed by Mohamed Harb that chronicle the daily hardships of life in Gaza as the result of a crippling siege that has affected more than a million and a half of its people.
Death Tunnel (2012) takes an inside look at the underground tunnels between the Egypt-Gaza borders. The tunnel workers, who risk their lives in order to ensure the survival of the territory, go to work knowing that they could be digging their own graves.
The experimental short film Without Windows (2009) sheds light on the challenges artists face in Gaza.
