Building on a series of artist residencies, conversations, and collaborations initiated last year, When Nothing Remains But You brings together six artists reflecting on the present moment within the broader arc of Palestinian history. The exhibition examines the symbolic significance and evolving roles of materials and crafts within Palestinian narratives, considering how they persist, adapt, and carry meaning, especially amid intensifying Israeli settler-colonial violence.
Through research-driven and experimental approaches, the artists explore how these materials and craft traditions intertwine with collective memory and the everyday realities of resistance. At the same time, their works reflect on and reimagine the roles and potentials these elements might hold in the present moment the possibilities they hold for the future.
