Building on a series of artist residencies, conversations, and collaborations initiated last year, When Nothing Remains But You brings together the work of six artists who reflect on the present moment as it unfolds within the broader arc of Palestinian history. The exhibition explores the symbolic significance and evolving roles of materials and crafts in Palestinian narratives, revealing their often-overlooked interconnections.
Through research-driven and experimental approaches, the artists explore how these materials and traditions endure, evolve, or resist within the realities of Palestinian life today—especially amid intensified Israeli settler-colonial violence. By engaging with elements deeply rooted in Palestinian history, their works not only highlight the symbolic and material significance of these traditions but also reimagine their roles and possibilities in the present moment.
