The year 1720 witnessed the creation of the nucleus of what in 1899 would become the Khalidi Library in Jerusalem, when Mohammed San'Allah the Great made available 650 manuscripts for the public good. Archaeologist and Professor of History at Birzeit University, Dr. Nazmi Jubeh tells the story of the Khalidi Library in Jerusalem and how it succeeded at surviving throughout wars, mandates, occupation and several demolition attempts. The talk will be in Arabic.
