Ideas of 'exchange' reveal metaphors of looking, speaking, and remembering. We practice exchange with people whose belongings are offered for trade - displayed atop blankets on the streets, under tarps at the Friday market, or even on the body itself (one man sells feather dusters attached to his clothes). Such transactions become the starting point for this exhibition of objects.
