Khaled Hourani is an artist, curator, and writer. He is the co-founder and former director of the International Academy of Art Palestine in Ramallah, and the initiator of the 2011 Picasso in Palestine project. His art looks at everyday occurrences that generate political events and constitute our own reality. Hourani had a retrospective exhibition at Darat al Funun in 2017. In 2018, Hourani  organised “There Is A Light That Never Goes Out – Darat al Funun from Amman to Palestine” that ran simultaneously in four Palestinian cities: Ramallah, Bethlehem, Jerusalem and Gaza. The program revisited Darat al Funun’s thirty-year-long relation with Palestinian artists.
